摘要:
传统的WebGIS开发既要部署后台GIS服务器，又要进行Web服务器的配置以及两者之间的连接，有时还会对客户端的环境提出要求，其过程复杂，使用过程又受到网络资源和服务器容量的限制。提出一种基于VML和脚本技术的WebGIS架构，利用VML表达地理空间信息，利用脚本实现GIS功能。这种架构将WebGIS应用分布到客户机上。由客户机运用得到的数据和脚本引擎文件实现WebGIS应用，充分利用了网络中每个结点的资源，既简化了开发过程，也大大提高了服务的可靠性
