摘要:
网络功能虚拟化(network functions virtualization,NFV) 改变了传统网络以及硬件网络设备的形态。 许多 NFV 应用(如网络资源管理、网络安全防护) 需要获取指定物理资源、虚拟资源和虚拟网络功能等 NFV 对象的状态信息,并加以分析和利用。 如何根据应用需求灵活地获取 NFV 对象的状态信息,是 NFV 管理和编排的一项重要工作。 在大型 NFV 环境中,由于 NFV 对象的数量急速增加、类型不断丰富,导致难以灵活高效地按需获取 NFV 对象的状态信息。 对此,该文提出了一种信息获取需求与获取技术解耦( information requirements decoupling from acquisition,IRDA) 机制。 该机制支持使用结构化描述符定义信息获取需求,通过解析需求描述符即可调用相应的信息获取技术按需收集状态数据。 为支持获取新型NFV 对象的状态信息,提出了一种监视项注册机制,使得无需更新程序便可扩展监视系统的信息获取能力。 实现了基于IRDA 机制的原型系统并进行相关试验。 试验结果表明,基于 IRDA 机制的监视系统具有较高的可用性和有效性。
Abstract:
Network functions virtualization (NFV) has changed the forms of traditional network and hardware network devices. ManyNFV applications (such as network resource management,network security protection) need to obtain,analyze and utilize the status information of NFV objects such as physical resources,virtual resources and virtual network functions. It is important to flexibly obtain the status information of NFV objects according to application requirements for NFV management and orchestration. In the large-scale NFV environment,the number and types of NFV objects are increasing rapidly,which is difficult to obtain the status information on demand flexibly and efficiently. Therefore, we present an information requirements decoupling from acquisition ( IRDA ) mechanism which supports the use of structured descriptors to define obtain requirements.? ? By parsing the descriptors, the corresponding acquisition technology can be called to collect status data on demand. In order to obtain the status information of new NFV objects,a monitoring item registration mechanism is proposed, which can expand the information acquisition capability of the monitoring system without updating the program. The prototype system based on IRDA mechanism is implemented and tested. The experim-ental results show that the monitoring system based on IRDA mechanism has high availability and effectiveness.
