摘要:
IIC接口为OPB总线与IIC串行总线之间的高度可编程接口,在I2C总线上既可作为主设备,又可作为从设备。该部分设备挂在OPB总线上,PPC处理器通过PLB2OPB桥来访问这些寄存器。为使PCI主机能正确访问IIC接口寄存器,文中在对PCI总线协议和IIC协议进行深入研究的基础上,提出一种PCI接口到OPB接口的时序转换电路解决方案,以满足二者之间的通信需求。通过功能仿真和工程实践表明,该转换电路工作稳定,性能良好,较好地满足了应用需求。
Abstract:
The IIC400 synthesizable core from the IBM microelectronics library provides a highly programmable interface between the On-chip Peripheral Bus (OPB) and the Industry-standard I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) serial bus. This part of the equipment on the OPB bus,PPC processors access these registers by PLB2OPB bridge. For PCI host can visit IIC interface register correctly,on the basis of deep research on PCI bus protocol and IIC,put forward a kind of timing conversion circuit solution of PCI interface to the OPB interface in or-der to satisfy the demands of the communication between them. The functional simulation and engineering practice show it can work well, has good performance and meets the requirements better.
