随着宽带技术的发展,IPIV技术逐渐成为“杀手级”应用,但与有线电视相比仍存在一些问题如频道切换较慢。目前对于IPTV的研究主要基于IPv4,缺乏对IPv6的支持。文中给出了IPv6下InV模型和时延定义,利用NS2对IPTV业务频道切换等性能进行了仿真,分析了同时加入、离开的频道数目和已建立连接的频道数目对用户加入、离开和切换时延的影响。理论分析和仿真结果表明用户切换至原小区未建立连接的频道时延和加入时延会随着小区同时加入频道数目、已建立连接的频道数目增多而增加,而用户切换至原小区已建立连接的频道时延和离开时延则影响较小
Abstract:
With the rapid development of the broadband network technology, IPTV has become one potential killer application. However, it still has some problems such as large zapping delay compared with the cable TV. The researches on IPTV are mostly based on IPv4 rather than IPv6. In this paper, study the zapping time of IPTV in IPv6 network with NS2, and analyze the impact of the number of increased channels, the number of reduced channels, and the number of the connected channels. The simulation and theory analyses results show that zapping time for joining a non-connected channel and the delay for joining a channel are increased with the number of increased channels and that of the connecting channels, while zapping time for joining a connected channel and the delay for leaving a channel are not impacted
