Oracle数据库是当前应用最广泛的大型关系数据库之一，其性能直接关系到整个应用系统的运行效率。介绍了Oracle 10g数据库系统性能优化与调整的原则、影响系统性能的因素，讨论了数据库配置优化问题，包括SGA、PGA的优化、磁盘I／O优化以及磁盘碎片的调整等问题，最后介绍了Oracle 10g提供的几种用于系统性能优化与调整的工具。
