联机分析处理(OLAP)是伴随着数据仓库出现的一种数据分析处理技术,其特点是使分析人员能够更充分地利用数据仓库中的数据资源,从多种角度、多个层次,快速地构建易为用户理解的并全面反映企业行为特征的数据快照,从而可使用户更加深入地了解企业的发展状况和趋势。ROLAP是OLAP中使用最广泛的一种类型。文中对影响ROLAP查询效率的关键技术进行了讨论,提出了一个改进的实视图动态选择算法。该算法从存储空间、查询频率、更新代价三个方面综合评价每个实视图,有效地保证了ROLAP查询的响应时间

On- line analysis processing (OLAP) is a data analysis technologywhich appearing with the data warehouse (DW) technology, it can make use of systemic data in DW and help people build data snapshots quickly from many different point of views. These snapshots reflect the action characteristic of the enterprise and can be understood by users. ROLAP has wide - ranging influence and effect in OLAP. In this paper, several key technologies which affect ROLAP query efficiency are discussed, and a materialized view selection algorithm is presented. Materialized view selection problem (VSP) is the main problem in implementing the ROLAP system
